The Solution

Our device connects directly between the wheel and the frame, and reduces the force needed to propel the wheelchair by a factor of 3! The arms are also ergonomically positioned to mimic a more natural benchpress motion, rather than the standard reach and flick that is used to propel a wheelchair. This motion is better for the user as it utilizes decreased and natural range of motion and reduced the wear and tear on the shoulder joint.
